What is your favorite part of living in Rochester?
Anything and everything is less than a 30-minute drive. So many new adventures are always just a short trip away!
Do you have any favorite/secret Rochester spots?
A few! I have a bit of a problem with abandoned areas, the “subway” is one of my favorites. Any of the little small “secret beaches” are the best too.
What is your favorite time of day to hang out in the city?
Right before sunset and into the night. Rochester’s skies are always so pretty.
What is your favorite day of the week?
Sundays. Sundays are not made for plans, but to adventure to different spots. I always drag my poor friends to all these random spots, but I do promise lunch along with adventure!
Do you have a favorite neighborhood?
Having someone show me all these fantastic secret abandoned sports around.
Do you have a favorite neighborhood?
If I didn’t live in Greece I would love the South Wedge area.
Favorite bar?
Downtown, I really love Nox for its nerdy atmosphere, and Ox and Stone for some delicious food and spicy drinks. If I want to stay close to home and go out in yoga pants, The Retreat it is!
Favorite hungover eating spot?
Blue Wolf on Park Ave has these delicious bowls of breakfast foods that do a pretty good job!
Lots of good things can be seen from the surface, and the more you dig through, the more good things you find!
What is your personal coping mechanism for the cold or gray weather?
Finding some new park or area and taking pictures.
What is your favorite Rochester memory?
A bunch of us went “adventuring” one afternoon, and ended up on some train tracks over near the falls. Halfway through walking down them, I realized straight down was water and that was a little terrifying. But it was fun to see the city from a different view!
What makes Rochester unique?
Rochester has some amazing spots to adventure, if people took a few steps outside their normal routine they would find some wonderful areas. Food, food is so important! Especially with the amount of resturants we have all over. I recently have been making sure I try some place new at least a couple of times a month.
What do you think could be improved?
We have a good sense of community, but I think it could be a lot better. People can be nicer, or more welcoming sometimes. We all live here, we should enjoy it together!
If Rochester were a food, what would it be?
Nachos. Lots of good things can be seen from the surface, and the more you dig through, the more good things you find!
